Tasks
- Assist in the development and scale-up of new food product formulations in collaboration with the senior food scientist
- Help design, plan, execute and analyze projects and experiments to improve our knowledge of ingredients and product taste, texture and shelf life
- Maintain equipment according to established protocols
- Communicate results to team members
- Maintain a rigorous laboratory notebook
Required profile
Education & Experience
- Working towards a degree in food science or related disciplines
- Interest in food product development, dairy products, microbiology, lipids or proteins
- Previous work on prototype development is a plus
- Experience in managing and executing R&D projects, ideally with new ingredients is a plus
- Ability to work in a multidisciplinary team environment
Working English and/or French
Soft Skills
- Independent, well-organized and proactive work style
- Ability to work with the highest accuracy and properly prioritize
- Well organized and with significant experience in project management
- Good at troubleshooting and problem-solving
- Excellent communication skills and positive attitude
- Interest in alternative proteins
